No way to say if it kills Covid, but we've been using it in our rentals, can break very easily

We have two cabins in the Running Springs area and airbnb and VRBO. In these Covid days we left it in the house and the cleaning team uses it for 15minutes in several different areas of the house before starting to clean the house after the previous guests leave. It is very easy to use and simple. There's a power button and three other buttons for 15min, 30min and 60min. Once you set the timer, it gives you ample time to leave the room before it turns on the UV lamp. As you know, you shouldn't expose yourself to such a strong UV light. There is also a simple remote that does that same thing. turn on and off and three buttons for timer.Obviously I cannot comment on its functionality and capacity to **** Covid but we haven't had any cases of Covid during the time we could rent our place (CA doesn't allow it these days)Two minor issues and the reason for the 4 star. One is that it is relatively tall and has a thin glass, I understand that it can't have metal protection around it so that UV light is not stopped by the frame but it needs some sort of a protection. The way it is, I'm pretty sure it'll break very soon. Maybe instead of glass they can use something else or maybe use a thicker glass or sapphire or something. Second issue is that when the time finishes, there's no way to know. If you're out of the room, you shouldn't go in before assuring the light is off and this thing doesn't make any sound. A small beeper to beep when the time is out and the lamp is off would have been a great feature. One thing to know is that it can only sanitize the surfaces that receive direct UV, no reflections. That's why its recommended to be set on a higher surface like a tabletop or countertop. So if there is an area that doesn't get direct UV, I would recommend and extra round of manual sanitizing with wipe or spray.Overall, I do recommend this in these tough covid days if you continuously find yourself using lysol sprays or sanitizing wipes around the house or ... This will give you peace of mind in 30 to 45 minutes.

Lightweight and works perfectly.

I bought another model that required a transformer and was cumbersome to carry around. This one is 110V and easily transportable from room to room. Highly recommended.

Tool Klean Tabletop Review

My parents and I recently got COVID. We purchased the UV Tabletop as a safety measure and have been using it to sanitize different rooms throughout our house since we've recovered. We know that Tool Klean's products are lab tested and proven to **** all kinds of germs and bacteria and so it's been very comforting to be able to clean all the parts of our house where leftover germs have probably lingered. We wanted to make our house clean and safe again especially before the holidays and Tool Klean has helped us do that. In terms of the device itself, it works very well and it's very simple to operate. We set it up in a room, turn on the timer, and leave it for usually about 30 minutes. It's very powerful so it's important to make sure that no one is in the room during the time it's on, including pets! Thank you again Tool Klean for helping us out during this rough time.

Works great

Shorty after getting this I found out that my water heater had been leaking, for a few weeks. For some idiotic reason when they built my house they decided that the best place for a water heater is inside a sealed cubby in the back of a closet. So that if it leaks no one will know until it's too late. Once we got the water heater out of its space and the standing water off the wood floor we stuck a dehumidifier in the closet and sat this on top of it. We ran it for several 30 min intervals over the next 3 days while waiting to make sure there was no moisture left in the floors. The mildew smell that hit you opening up the space went away after the 3rd treatment. After the dehumidifier did its job I put the light inside the cubbyhole and ran it again for several 30 min intervals until the moment we were ready to install the new unit. Between the light and the dehumidifier we saved the wood and there is no mildew smell from the closet. The only down side I see, and it isn't for the light itself, is that it should come with a hard protective sleeve of some sort to put over it when not in use. Right now I've kept the box and it goes back in when not using it. I'm still hunting for a better option.
