Well, it it works. How do I know that the blue light is not just a blue light? We use the same UV-C in labs to keep surfaces aseptic (think, cell culture hood). The Room Surface UV Light Sanitizer does that: in my variably humid basement, attempts for mold to grow and ever incoming spiders have been wiped out. The lamp is sturdy. It ships with the utmost precaution (3-layer packaging). And when I had a problem with the preinstalled bulb, they addressed it graciously and promptly. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up.
